About This Design
This snowflake cluster design stitches out at 43.6 × 49.6 mm (1.7 × 2.0 in) and uses 7 thread colors across 6 color changes. Total count is 8,448 stitches at a density of about 390.6 stitches/cm².

- Follow the color sequence table above — thread numbers refer to the chart programmed in the file; match them to your brand by color.
Fabric & Hooping
At about 390.6 stitches/cm² this is a very heavy fill, near the limit of what a domestic machine handles comfortably. Use two layers of firm cut-away, drop to roughly 400 spm, and expect a stiff finished patch — keep it off garments that need to drape. At 43.6 × 49.6 mm a 4×4 in hoop is plenty.
Thread Colors in This Design
DST files store stitch data but no thread information, so the colors below are our suggested DMC match. Swap in whatever you have in a similar shade:
- 550 Very Dark Violet
- 900 Dark Burnt Orange
- 931 Medium Antique Blue
- 899 Medium Rose
- 996 Medium Electric Blue
- 321 Red
- 3013 Light Khaki Green
Stitching Notes
7 colors across 6 changes makes this a real thread-management job: lay the spools out in sequence order first and keep the color chart to hand. DST stores stitch data only, which is why the color list is a suggestion rather than the digitizer's original choice.
What to Make With It
Motifs like this scatter well — single placements on pockets and yokes, or repeated across a quilt block, a set of napkins or a child's blanket. It reads the same at any orientation, so placement is forgiving.
